Hawkeye X Black Widow

hawkeye x black widow

While it seemed like Hawkeye was going to be the butt of the joke in The Avengers (before he got konked by Loki and regained his humanity), as Marvel found its footing as modern pop culture’s most profitable property, creative liberties began to open up. And for some characters that had been previously overlooked, they began to get their moment in the sun.

One such example is Black Widow, a character who has a rich history with the titular archer. Natasha Romanoff is an assassin with a heart of gold, and her ruthlessness and exceptional skill make her worthy of her moniker. While she once operated on the side of evil, her innate sense of heroism allowed her to defect and become an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D.

She is also a formidable fighter and a formidable partner. Her loyalty and dedication to her team is unparalleled, and she’s a force to be reckoned with. But despite her tough exterior, she’s just as vulnerable as any other Avenger.

This dichotomy is the backbone of what makes her so compelling and so important, and it’s why she and Clint Barton are such a good match. Their chemistry is magnetic, and their history together makes them a strong pairing. And if there’s anyone who knows this, it’s Black Widow herself.

The pair’s relationship dates all the way back to TALES OF SUSPENSE #57, when the expert circus performer turned masked hero met the Russian spy during a mission. The two teamed up to destroy the Red Room that controlled her before she defected, and they became close friends.

Despite the fact that she essentially killed her former mentor, Yelena Belinsky, in order to save her own life, Natasha still considers herself as her best friend. And that’s why fans are so excited for her return in the next season of Hawkeye, which will pick up right where we left off with a scene where Yelena enlists Natasha to help her take down a group of brainwashed assassins.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, though. Episode 4 of the series touched on what is likely to be a pivotal point in Kate Bishop and Clint’s relationship, which will serve as an important reference for the final Avengers film. But there are plenty of other reasons to be excited for the show’s return, too. Check out 5 reasons why you should be looking forward to Hawkeye x Black Widow.
