Hawkeye Show Release Date and First Look

From the chaotic thrills of Loki Season 2 to the cliffhangers and Easter eggs of Black Widow, Marvel fans have had plenty of chances to dive into the MCU this summer. Now, it’s time to check out Hawkeye, the MCU’s latest series on Disney Plus. Based on the first look, it looks like a fun tale of an aging superhero and his wannabe apprentice.

Jeremy Renner is back as Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the new TV show, with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, a young archer who seems to idolize him. The pair will take on a variety of missions, from fighting off some big bad guys to helping people in need. But, with Barton in his late 50s and Kate only being a teenager, there’s bound to be some drama in their lives as well.

The limited series was created by Jonathan Igla, who worked on Mad Men and Bridgerton. It’s set in New York City, in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame and will see Barton training his successor Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). The series is a mix of live action and CGI with a focus on action and humor.

It’s unclear how many episodes the series will be or if there will be a second season, but the cast is certainly talented enough to warrant another go at it. The likes of Bates Motel and Conjuring 3 star Vera Farmiga, Better Call Saul’s Tony Dalton, Frazer Fee, Aleks Paunovic, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and Simon Callow will all be returning. Plus, Florence Pugh will be reprising her role as Yelena Belova from Black Widow.

The first look at the show was released ahead of Disney+’s launch, which happens on Friday, November 12. The service will feature a number of different Marvel shows, including Loki Season 2, Shang-Chi, and Eternals.

But, if you’re looking for more MCU content to watch, it will be tough to beat the six-episode Hawkeye show when it arrives. And, if you’re not already subscribed to the streaming service, you can get one month for just $1.99.

While the release date for hawkeye show hasn’t been announced, the show is expected to premiere sometime before Christmas this year. It’s also rumored to be followed by Ms. Marvel, so that could affect the release date as well. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about the show.
