Hawkeye’s love life is complicated, even in comic books, and this is no different on TV. In this episode, Hawkeye enters into a relationship with Lieutenant Maria “Dish” Schneider, who is married. Hawkeye rationalizes his actions by claiming that it is just a chance encounter and they are not committed to one another.
Hawkeye is portrayed in both the books and films as a sardonic figure, but in later seasons, he develops a more empathetic, socially conscious persona. He also has an annoying habit of smelling his food before he eats it.
Hawkeye continues to be a popular figure in American entertainment. However, many fans of the show don’t know what happened to Hawkeye after the Korean War. The character’s last appearance in the movie was in a military helicopter, and he still had a lot to do after his service in the war.
Hawkeye’s archenemy and friend, Burns, shared the same hypocritical attitude towards marriage vows. He’s had affairs with several women, including a receptionist and a housekeeper. He also had relationships with three nurses at the 4077th MASH, including an underage girl.
