One Piece features a lot of powerful characters, but few are as legendary as Hawk Eyes Mihawk. As the World’s Strongest Swordsman, Mihawk is a force to be reckoned with. His rivalry with Red-Haired Shanks has been the subject of much debate among fans, but Mihawk’s superiority is clear. He has enough strength to intimidate Admiral Ryokugyu and battle on equal footing with Whitebeard, and he’s waiting for Zoro to challenge him to a fierce duel.
Mihawk is known for stealing treasure from pirates and killing them for their crimes, but he’s also a skilled cook who prepares meals for his crew and his wife Perona. He possesses the ability to read people’s emotions and can tell what they’re planning before they do it. He also has impressive swordsmanship and is capable of cutting vegetables in half with a single slash.
A true warrior, Mihawk has a black coat with a large hood and crimson details. His eyes are shaped like those of a hawk, giving him his name. He’s also a master of Haki, using Kenbunshoku to protect his body from harm. He also uses Busoshoku, a form of Haki that allows him to see the future in high detail. Mihawk is also capable of teleportation, allowing him to instantly travel across the Grand Line.
In addition to his immense strength, Hawk Eyes Mihawk has a strong sense of honor and is an exceptional cook. He’s also a good friend and adviser to the Straw Hat Pirates, despite his past conflicts with them. He helped Luffy and his crew find the One Piece while rescuing the princess from the castle of Yonko and has even saved the lives of several of their friends and relatives.
Mihawk has been featured in many different arcs of the manga, including the Baratie arc and Marineford arc. He’s also made an appearance in the anime. He serves as a supporting antagonist in the Baratie arc and a major antagonist in the Marineford arc.
During the Baratie arc, Mihawk confronts the Gold Roger Pirate King and defeats him, proving that he’s at least Pirate King level. He’s also shown to be able to outclass the Emperor’s right-hand man, Oden, who’s a Yonko-level fighter. This shows that Zoro still has a long way to go before he reaches Hawk Eyes’ level of power. He’ll need to continue improving his skills if he wants to be ready for a fight with the World’s Strongest Swordsman.
