A Review of the Hawkeye X Mustang Relationship

Even though she is a State Alchemist, Riza does not approve of the taboo of human transmutation. This is probably the main reason why she never wanted to see Ed and Al die. However, she does not agree with the way that Father treated them. She tries to help them in any way that she can, and she is not afraid to stand up for her beliefs.

While the majority of the alchemists during the Ishvalan War regretted their role in the conflict, some, like Bradley and Kimbley, reveled in it. Others, like Mustang, questioned it but were forced into a brutal role anyway. This was largely due to the fact that Amestris is a military dictatorship, and the government needs soldiers to control the conflict.

As a result, the majority of the army is incredibly violent and has no respect for other people. This is exacerbated by the fact that many alchemists are obsessed with power and money, and they will do anything to get what they want. This includes using their powers to hurt and kill other people.

Although Riza resented the violence, she also recognized the importance of it in the conflict. As a result, she did her best to prevent it from happening again by keeping the peace between herself and her fellow soldiers.

Despite this, she still suffered from guilt for what happened in Ishval and the loss of her loved ones.
