Hawkeye Set Photos – Why I Love Them

The work of photographer Lindsay McAllister has won awards at the numerous South Beach Film festivals and has received critical acclaim as the premier artist of digital stills. His hawkeye set photos have been used in innumerable television shows including CBS’s” Sherlock” and ABC’s” Revenge” and “The Mentalist.” In fact, McAllister’s photos have even appeared in the feature-length film’s “Million Dollar Baby,” “The Pursuit of Happyness,” and “The Beach.” But what is behind the elusive images of Lindsay McAllister’s hawkeye set photos?

When he set them, the location was the sound stage of a high-tech video production for a science fiction movie, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” a remake of the classic “Aristotle” movie. The location was the set of the future New York City. There, in the not-too-distant future, the crew of robots came to observe a young couple as they enjoyed their time together on their honeymoon. It was an idyllic day. Their happiness and love would be captured in the memorable stills that would become McAllister’s best-selling career-long series of images.

However, not all was rosy in the studio. As one would expect, the production had its share of hiccups. For example, the robots that were supposed to operate on a remote control machine malfunctioned and, without any human supervision, they destroyed several city blocks. The resulting crater remains is six feet across and seven miles long. As a result, the city’s tourism suffered and many businesses closed their doors. McAllister, however, was not concerned with the negative publicity and he continued working on the film.

Today, you can see the same set photos that appeared in the original advertisement. The technology has been modernized and the images are superb. They capture the magic of New York City as a whole. They show the hustle and bustle of the people who live and work in the Big Apple. The special features that go along with the images are impressive as well.

In addition, as an experienced photographer, I can say that the computer image processing and color correction do a great job of bringing out the true essence of the photographs. The colors are rich and the images are extraordinarily clear. You will also notice that the detail is very crisp. In fact, if you look at a photograph of a garment shop in Manhattan, you will note the small creases in the fabric. But when you look at a McAllister photo, you will note that the wrinkles have been carefully worked out.

In my opinion, the new releases of Hawkeye set photos are spectacular. I think it is a good thing that more photographers are using computer image processing technology to make their photos much better. After all, the best photographs are those that are taken by someone who did not have a camera and was able to take them on with a good point-and-shoot camera that had automatic settings. Computer image processing, along with the use of lenses for close up photography, has allowed even the most inexperienced photographers to take gorgeous photographs.
